Design Philosophy

My design philosophy is simple and honest.  The ideals of my approach are comprised of integrity, knowledge, value, and quality.

Without integrity, ability is secondary.  My intent is to always put the best interest of my clients first.  Directing my clients to the sources that offer the best quality and value to protect their investment is vital.

Educating myself to be a leader in my field is of primary importance.  As a degreed designer, I continue to attend seminars and showhouses in New York and Philadelphia to stay on top of the most current trends in my field.   Clients depend on my knowledge and experience to safeguard the purchases they are making  by relying on expert advice to avoid  some of the hazards of the trade.  Careful planning from a professional who has been formally trained is crucial in every regard to eliminate costly mistakes and provide the most functionally and aesthetically pleasing space.

To achieve the best value, you need to know how to use your resources.  It cannot be assumed that just because an item costs more that it is of better quality.  Purchasing furniture is like buying diamonds.  If you don't know what you're looking for you can easily be deceived.  There are numerous ways to provide twice the look at a fraction of the cost and still offer quality--this is what I strive for.

To offer quality, you have to understand quality.  The manufacturing trends have changed dramatically in the past few years as a result of all the imports.  The construction techniques in almost every arena I work with have changed considerably.  Staying on top of those changes and trying to educate my clients about the purchases they are making is important.  It's impossible to be the expert on everything, but it helps to have a trained professional looking out for your best interest in every purchase you make.

I look forward to the opportunity to work with you!
